Yorkshire ales on its way to Luxembourg

Yorkshire’s oldest brewery (est. 1758) is making its debut in Luxembourg this year. Samuel Smith Old Brewery (Tadcaster) brews the traditional way, for local and export markets. For the first time, True Brew Trade Sàrl (TBT) imports Samuel Smith’s varied range of beers to Luxembourg.

Samuel Smith has been available in Luxembourg for only a few weeks. Located in the north of Yorkshire, England, Samuel Smith Old Brewery brews ales the traditional way in antique boiling coppers, fermenting in stone Yorkshire squares using English hop, local malt, yeast (strain has been used since the 1800s) and well water, drawn from 85 feet underground. Some of their ales are even naturally conditioned in oak casks, made and repaired in their own cooperage. Grey Shire horses stabled at the Old Brewery are used five days a week to deliver beer to local pubs.
TBT decided to expand its range by importing Samuel Smith beers, thanks to a growing demand for high quality hand crafted beers in Luxembourg. Based in Gonderange, Luxembourg TBT has been importing craft beers since 2014. TBT is on a mission to make quality beer with a healthy and sustainable imprint available in Luxembourg. It specialises in organic beers and in alternatives to Pilsner style beers.

Samuel Smith Old Brewery has a wide range of traditional ales, stouts, porter and cider. Some of their beers are only available on draught others in bottles and some are even organic and / or vegan certified. Organic standards prohibit colours, preservatives and genetically modified ingredients. If the ingredients are not on the label (due to the law in certain export countries), you can look up the list on the product page of our website.

Samuel Smith ales and cider will be available at selected shops, pubs and restaurants and wholesale from TBT. For more information please contact Patrick de Goede at True Brew Trade.
