L’objectif du recensement annuel est de pouvoir estimer les populations des espèces les plus fréquentes, ce qui permettra d’établir des tendances de population au cours des années.

Où et quand ?
Le 23, 24, et 25 janvier 2026 : Observez et comptez les différents oiseaux présents dans votre jardin ou sur votre balcon pendant une heure de votre choix.

Identification :
Déterminez les différentes espèces à l’aide des photos .

Comptage correct :
Notez les différentes espèces ainsi que leur nombre respectif. Le même oiseau ne doit être compté qu’une seule fois.

Notez uniquement le plus grand nombre observé au même instant pour chaque espèce.
Exemple : Vous observez 2 moineaux et 10 minutes plus tard vous en observez 3. Vous notez donc 3, et non pas 5.

The annual winter bird count allows us to monitor the populations of common bird species in Luxembourg and to see how they evolve over the years.

When and where ?
On the 23th, 24th and 25th of January 2026 : Take one hour of your choice to observe and count the birds in your garden or on your balcony.

Identification :
Determine the different species using the pictures provided.

Counting correctly :
Note the dif ferent species and the number of each. The same bird should not be counted more than once.

Note only the highest number of each bird species observed at any one time.
Example : If you see 2 sparrows and 10 minutes later 3 sparrows, the maximum number of sparrows is 3, not 5.
