TK Elevator (TKE), a global leader in urban mobility solutions, proudly celebrates the inauguration and successful early operation of the Riyadh Metro in the capital of Saudi Arabia. As one of the most expansive public transit systems constructed in recent years, distinguished by the striking, futuristic exterior design of its stations, this landmark project represents a major leap forward in the city’s transportation infrastructure.
As a leading mobility equipment provider for Riyadh Metro, TK Elevator has enhanced urban connectivity by supplying 692 mobility units, seamlessly integrating passenger access from streets and other transport modes into the metro network. With its long-standing expertise and customer-centric approach, TKE ensures the smooth operation and timely maintenance of these 277 elevators and 415 escalators across Lines 1 and 2 – the largest of the metro project’s six lines – underscoring the critical importance of efficient, safe, and reliable mobility solutions for these vital routes.
Since Riyadh Metro’s launch in December 2024, response has been remarkably positive, seeing more than 100 million passengers in under 9 months of operation. Lines 1 and 2 enjoyed the largest portion of these users, where over 63 million passengers utilized these lines.
King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) Station stands out as being one of the busiest transport links in the city. The 7 elevators and 26 escalators installed at the KAFD station have delivered reliable support to its operations, seamlessly connecting passengers to the metro network while also transporting visitors throughout the iconic station building.
