In line with Luxembourg’s Government’s goal at positioning the country as a front-runner in the circular economy (CE), the Circular by Design Challenge encourages creative minds to develop new solutions and aims to accelerate the shift from a linear to circular economy by connecting creative minds with technology, manufacturing and traditional industry.

The Challenge is targeted at the creative industries with the purpose to develop new ideas and design solutions, in line with the circular economy principles. The pilot edition is based on supporting early stage ideas, business models and design developments in 5 distinct categories : FASHION DESIGN, INTERIOR DESIGN, PRODUCT DESIGN, PRODUCT AS A SERVICE, MOBILITY CATEGORY and to combine creative entrepreneurs with technology, manufacturing and traditional industry. Submitted solutions can be B2B or B2C, depending on the individual challenge brief.

The Winner in each category will be rewarded a partnership deal with industry partners, in order to jointly produce and implement the idea.
