Resilience is a relatively recent concept in power grids area as compared to the traditional concept of security (or operational reliability). It had spurred growing research. However, some confusion exists in the community regarding the overlap and differences between security and resilience.

This webinar intends to lift this fog. It presents two views on these concepts from industrial perspective, in the first talk, and from research angle, in the second one. The talks will discuss the commonalities and differences between security and resilience and means to strengthen them in future transmission power grids.
