Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate Junior Software Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will help build, optimize, and maintain our core platform. You will :

• Spend the majority of your time actively developing features using modern PHP (Laravel) and front-end frameworks (Vue or Nuxt).
• Work closely with robust database systems, optimizing queries and schemas in PostgreSQL.
• Learn to build asynchronous, resilient architectures using message queue systems.
• Grow your technical skills under the mentorship of technical lead while adhering to modern software best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize full-stack features using PHP (Laravel), PostgreSQL, and Vue/Nuxt.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in line with team standards.
• Design and manage database schemas, migrations, and complex queries in PostgreSQL.
• Assist in implementing event-driven architectures and managing asynchronous tasks via message queues.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile team ceremonies.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve platform issues.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Experience and Expertise

• 0–2 years of experience in professional software development (internships and strong personal projects count !).
• Solid foundation in backend development using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL (PGSQL).
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend development using Vue.js or Nuxt.js.
• Familiarity with or strong interest in message queue systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis queues, Laravel Horizon) is considered a strong asset.
• Experience with Git-based version control (GitHub, GitLab).
• Understanding of basic RESTful API design and software architecture principles.
• Familiarity with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

2. Languages

• English : C1 level – Required for international communication.
• German, French, or Luxembourgish are considered an asset.
