The Chief of Staff Luxembourg acts as the right hand of the CEO and plays a strategic role in coordinating cross-functional activities, managing priorities and facilitating communication. This person ensures the smoothness of decision-making processes and supports the implementation of strategic projects. This role is critical in formulating and executing strategic transformation initiatives in collaboration with local Executive Committee (ExCo) members to ensure the company’s long-term success and market leadership. The Chief of Staff Luxembourg to the CEO assists the CEO in overseeing the Helvetia-Baloise strategy and contributes to interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
He/she acts as a key liaison between the CEO and LIAM team (Luxembourg, Italy, and Austria), supporting effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
The Chief of Staff Luxembourg works in close collaboration with the CEO’s Personal Assistant, who is responsible for most of the administrative and logistical aspects related to the CEO’s office.
What you can expect
Strategic Support :
- Assist the CEO in defining and monitoring strategic objectives.
- Prepare and document minutes of board and executive committee meetings.
- Track, manage, and follow up on action items and deliverables ensuring timely execution and feedback loops.
- Develop and deliver presentations for executive management, group leadership, and other key meetings.
- Collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
- Support functional management and corporate governance activities.
- Provide executive support to members of the Luxembourg management team.
International Coordination :
- Work in strong partnership with the LIAM team (Luxembourg, Italy, Austrian Markets) on cross-market issues.
- Act as a key liaison between the CEO and LIAM team (Luxembourg, Italy, and Austria), supporting effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure consistency across cross-border projects and initiatives.
Analysis and Reporting :
- Compile analyses and reports to support decision-making.
- Support the CEO in implementing and steering local strategic plans with the relevant stakeholders.
- Challenge the status quo and the project portfolio to align actions with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with the strategy and transformation office (process optimization, cost monitoring, digitalization, etc.).
- Orchestrate and validate with the Executive Committee the collection and distribution of strategic reportings and dashboards towards CEO, Executive Committee and the Group, in alignment with the relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the CEO in all her missions relating to strategy and any other relevant subject
Priority Management and Communication :
- Organize and prioritize the CEO’s agendas together with the CEO’s Personal Assistant.
- Coordinate and align priorities across LIAM market units : Ensure the CEO’s agenda reflects strategic priorities from Luxembourg, Italy, and Austria, balancing local needs with group objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication between the CEO and LIAM leadership teams : Act as a conduit for information, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of key messages, decisions, and updates.
- Manage stakeholder expectations : Proactively identify and address competing priorities among internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and alignment.
- Prepare and distribute executive communications : Draft, review, and circulate communications (emails, memos, presentations) on behalf of the CEO to ExCo members, market unit leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Support the CEO in communicating transformation initiatives, strategic changes, and cultural shifts across LIAM, working closely with the communications department.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion : Handle sensitive information with the utmost professionalism, ensuring trust and integrity in all communications.

- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen as well as affine with technology
- Experience in project management and affinity with financial figures.
- Knowledge of the insurance sector (Non-Life and/or Life), knowledge of the Luxembourgish competitive landscape is a plus.
- Significant experience in the financial services industry, including experience in a strategy consulting firm or one of the “Big 4“
- Proven ability to :
