CheckMath, the app that makes math more accessible

CheckMath has emerged as one of the winners at the prestigious IMPACT EdTech Programme and is listed among Europe’s most promising EdTech startups.

CheckMath, a young EdTech startup based in Luxembourg, has been selected as one of 17 winners of the IMPACT EdTech Programme for startups in Europe. CheckMath was chosen among 278 applicants from 35 countries and will receive equity-free funding, incubation, acceleration and mentoring support from IMPACT EdTech.

CheckMath is the only company from Luxembourg to be selected for this prestigious programme. Established as a part of the Horizon 2020 program by the European Commission, IMPACT EdTech is a start-up accelerator whose goal is to support European startups and SMEs that are focused using technology to improve learning. The jury was composed of representatives of European Schoolnet, ISDI and FundingBox. Distinguished educators and entrepreneurs were also a part of the jury.

CheckMath is an app that can check solutions to mathematical problems in an instant. It supports and encourages students to master mathematics independently. Through the app, CheckMath aims to help students overcome their fear of math by providing a safe space where they can check their solutions, identify their mistakes and rectify them independently. By encouraging students to create solutions rather than simply finding them online, the app is striving to help students become competent and confident. CheckMath is the only AI-powered app that checks every step that the student writes and tracks their mathematical mastery over time.

The CEO, Himadri Pathak says : “With CheckMath, students can learn mathematics at a different level. Our app inspires and motivates students to learn mathematics at their own pace.

CheckMath encourages students to find solutions to mathematical problems and work their way out of them. This approach empowers critical thinking and problem-solving skills. These children can then take on the leading industries of today so that they can be the leaders of tomorrow.

The app was introduced just as COVID-19 outbreak took over the world and effected learning. Soon, teachers and students in more than 5,000 schools used the app and highly recommended it to their peers. CheckMath is currently available on the App store and Google Playstore. The app is available in English and French on https://checkmath.com/.
