Summary

Join us as a Business Developer (Hunter Profile) to accelerate Terra Matters’ commercial expansion in DACH, Benelux, and the UK markets. This is a hands-on, front-line commercial role. Your mission is to identify new prospects, create contact, and convert them into customers. You will focus on generating traction for the PCDS platform among manufacturers, consultants, and procurement actors. You will work closely with our Business Development Manager, who defines strategy and structure, while you focus on executing the go-to-market, turning cold leads into contracts, and representing Terra Matters on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation and Sales Execution

  • Identify and target prospects across DACH, Benelux and UK regions.
  • Build and manage your own sales pipeline : from cold outreach to closing.
  • Execute the full sales cycle : prospecting, meetings, product demos, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
  • Actively nurture and convert leads through persistence and follow-up.
  • Use HubSpot to track pipeline, conversion rates, and KPIs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to refine and continuously improve the product’s value proposition based on market interactions.

2. Market Development

  • Open new customer segments and strengthen Terra Matters’ presence in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK.
  • Represent Terra Matters at fairs, conferences, and professional events.
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback to help shape the commercial offer and product roadmap.
  • Map and define the relevant ecosystem in priority markets (starting with DACH), develop strategies to integrate into it, and position Terra Matters as a recognized and trusted actor.

3. Partnership and Ecosystem Engagement

  • Identify and engage with potential ecosystem partners (issuers, labels, certification bodies, procurement stakeholders).
  • Collaborate with sustainability and circularity networks to drive adoption of the PCDS.
  • Contribute to success stories and case studies that demonstrate customer value.
  • Develop a structured ecosystem engagement plan for each key market, identifying key actors, influence pathways, and opportunities to embed PCDS adoption.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Core Competencies

  • Proven experience (min. 4–6 years) in B2B business development or sales, ideally in SaaS, tech, or sustainability sectors.
  • A true hunter : thrives on prospecting, cold outreach, and opening new accounts.
  • Excellent sales instincts and closing skills.
  • Resilient, competitive, and goal-oriented mindset.

2. Languages

  • German : fluent (mandatory) – must handle full sales conversations in German.
  • English : fluent (mandatory).
  • French : proficient (mandatory).
  • Dutch or Luxembourgish are considered assets.

3. Sustainability and Market Understanding

  • Interest or experience in sustainability, ESG, or circular economy topics.
  • Ability to explain and sell value-driven solutions (ISO norms, Product Passports, product transparency).
  • Curiosity to learn and simplify technical content for clients.

4. Collaboration and Communication

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with marketing, product, and management teams.
  • Confident presenter, comfortable in one-on-one and large-audience settings.

5. Mindset

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial energy.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, growing, and mission-driven environment.
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone, knock on doors, and turn “no” into “yes.”

Package : competitive 12 months base salary, annual performance-based bonus, meal vouchers, 30 days paid vacation, home working flexibilities after trial period.
